Plan the Sign Before Production

Strong fabrication starts with the right field information. Our estimating and production coordination process reviews existing artwork, sign dimensions, materials, illumination, mounting surfaces, project locations and local approval requirements. For a replacement sign, we also want photographs of the existing equipment and a clear statement of what is being retained. An accurate scope reduces rework, change orders and installation surprises.

Custom Sign Types and Construction

Programs may include channel letters, illuminated cabinets, dimensional logos, flat-cut or fabricated metal letters, acrylic letters, monument signs, pylon faces, storefront identification, wall graphics, directories and wayfinding. We coordinate material selection around visual intent and real project conditions. Final substrate, finish, lighting, construction and mounting details depend on the selected sign system and approved production drawings.

Artwork, Proofs and Approvals

We encourage clients to submit vector logos, Pantone or other documented color standards, existing sign drawings and brand guidelines. A project proof should show dimensions, materials, copy, colors, illumination and installation assumptions as applicable. Production begins only after the appropriate approval process is complete. For repeat corporate programs, approved artwork and component standards can be organized into a reusable signage specification library.

Manufacture, Ship or Install

SOC can coordinate fabrication and ship signs to a customer-selected installer, work behind the scenes for another sign company or manage an agreed installation scope. On full-service projects, site surveys, permit coordination, installer access, freight delivery and closeout documentation are planned with the actual site rather than assumed.
